It was gathered that the woman was assaulted by her fiancé, Isaac Gbanwuan, who is a Policer Officer!!

The woman who also thanked other top officials in her address, noted that she was given N9.5 million by the Lagos state government.

She said: “I wish to thank Governor Ambode for providing a peaceful environment for every citizen living in Lagos State and also express my thanks and deep appreciation for his profound contribution in providing financial assistance for me to help with medical bills abroad. There was no joy left in my life until I met him. Governor Ambode’s support was essential for my surgery and helped me to get back my life.

“I will also like to take this opportunity to thank the office of the Lagos State Attorney- General, Lagos State Domestic Violence and Sexual Response Team, especially the coordinator for facilitating the process until the disbursement of fund.”

Ms Sunday who just returned from her reconstructive surgery in India was assaulted by her fiancé on August 24, 2012.

It was gathered that her fiancé battered her until she ran into a neighbour’s kitchen where he smashed a cooking stove with a boiling pot of stew on her!!

The stove reportedly exploded and set the woman on fire!! She was immediately rushed to a hospital at Bariga area of Lagos state.

It was gathered that she was unconscious for two weeks and lost two of her ears. Her upper neck and arms were glued together.

Meanwhile, Police Officers who investigated the case claimed that her burns were self-inflicted and every effort put in place to get justice for her proved abortive. *How can her burns be self-inflicted? Just how?? My goodness!! What sorta cover-up is this??? I'm just so pissed right now!!!*
